His latest Adirondack book, 'Photographing the Adirondacks', (Countryman Press), is a guidebook to photography locations throughout the Adirondack Park. His landscape photography techniques books are published in the US and internationally by Amphoto, Focal Press, and Ilex Press. They include, 'Contemporary Landscape Photography', 'The Landscape Photography Field Guide', and '101 Top Digital Landscape Photography Tips and techniques'. His photography has been used by publications and businesses around the world. His AV programs have aired on regional PBS stations, and he was interviewed for the May 2008 national PBS special, 'The Adirondacks'.

Greg Maklae - October 2007

I want to express my thanks for the class last Sunday. It opened my eyes and mind to being a much better photographer, and not just a picture taker. Each time I go out, the points you made are becoming clearer, as I try to incorporate them into each setting. The camera is an amazing tool, and each day brings a new "Oh Wow!".

Hope to be able to attend more of your groups next year.- From a reformed drive by shooter...
Dave Crudele - October 2007

I just wanted to thank you again for the great Photoshop for Photographers workshop. Your instruction was wonderful and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. I've been talking your course up to anyone who will listen! I feel like there has been a step-change increase in the quality of my artwork... a real before-and-after situation.

Alan LaBreque - February 2009

I just wanted to thank you for putting on such a great workshop and sharing your knowledge and passion for photography and nature!

I have been reading and re-reading the materials you gave us during the workshop, and can't wait to get back out and practice the skills you taught. I have always read that the best times to photograph nature are at dawn and dusk, and always felt that was the only time to shoot outdoors. You gave me hope and faith that photographs can be taken at anytime as long as you capture the light. And taking photos will be fun again!
