I set out quite early by canoe to find a place to photograph the soft pre-dawn light on Lake George. I paddled north toward the Narrows quite a ways before heading back south to a small open rocky area just east of Recluse Island and found this great 360 panorama that includes a view of most of the southern part of the lake.

The lights in the town of Bolton Landing and at the Sagamore were still visible when I started shooting my first panoramas. The moon hung in the sky to the west - just above the few trees. The lake was very calm and some moisture hung in the air adding a soft glow to the whole scene. Not long after I finshed taking some panoramas here and paddled back up into the Narrows, a fall cold front came rushing through - blowing up frothy whitecaps and some quite rough water.
