Perfect Pictures Every Time Photo Workshop

Beginner / Advanced beginner Comprehensive Day Long Workshop

One Day Photography Workshop - 10 AM to 6 PM
$175

The 8 hour class is paced to allow time for questions and interaction with students. While much of the day is in the classroom, going through the detailed Powerpoint presentation and experimenting with the cameras, there will be time between each of the Powerpoint segments to practice new techniques in the field. A comprehensive handout includes all the major points covered in the presentation. While the class instruction is mostly landscapes based, the techniques and principles learned can be applied to all photographic situations.
This beginner / intermediate photography workshop is designed for those who are looking to learn more about their camera and the photography principles that apply to every photo taken. Even if you are already comfortable with some camera basics, we cover advanced topics like HDR, depth of field, and creative uses of motion.

Equipment requirements include - a DSLR and lens system / or full featured point and shoot camera (preferably with screw-on filter and tripod capability), a sturdy tripod, and a remote release.

In addition, bring along your widest angle lenses (shortest focal lengths), longer focal length zooms (that can be used with extension tubes), macro lenses, extension tubes, tele-extenders, and close-up diopters you have in your camera bag.

Please contact me with equipment questions - you don't need to have all of the listed equipment in order to take the class. I often suggest folks take the class before buying new equipment since the information we cover will help you decide what you might like to add to your camera bag in the future!

This photography workshop is rated EASY in terms of travel to photo locations. The intensive workshop day includes a combination of class time as well as some outdoor photography. Any of the photo shoots will be in easy to access locations.

A maximum of 6 participants, allows plenty of opportunitiy for individual interaction throughout the day on the photo shoots as well as in the classroom.

The workshop fee includes all instruction and handouts - but does not include lodging or meals. Please bring along whatever you would like for food and drink throughout the day. We may carpool to other photo locations, as well as experiment with techniques in the meadow around our Brant Lake home.

We look forward to photographing with you and working with you in this nature photography workshop.
Please contact us with any questions!
Understanding photography basics is the key to taking control of your camera, and knowing you got the shot when taking it. If would like to take your skill level from shooting in Auto to having full control over your camera, this intensive class is for you! A step by step Powerpoint presentation helps teach all aspects of landscape photography including: camera settings, peripheral equipment, perfecting exposure, histograms, shooting for HDR, working with motion and depth of field, composition, creative options, lighting, and also touches on post processing.
