I've had a few days to reflect on the workshop and wanted to mention again what a good experience it was. When I look at the photos I took it is obvious the combination of technical and artistic insight helped me do some things I had never done. I also know better why some things worked and some didn't. I believe I got what I was seeking - an increase of my skill level by a notch.
Even outside the photography and sense of accomplishment it was a great day with some nice people and a very positive vibe. I was sorry it was only one day. I am definitely up for another workshop and might consider the week long trip you talked about...

This workshop is rated EASY - most of the photography will be reasonably close to the road with some potential locations involving walking over moderately rough or rocky terrain, with hikes up to about a mile.
A maximum of 6 participants, allows plenty of opportunities for individual interaction during and between the photo shoots and digital darkroom work and time to work at each individual's ability level.
The workshop fee includes all instruction, handouts, and Sunday lunch - but does not include lodging or additional meals. Please bring along whatever you would like for food and drink through the day on Saturday and morning on Sunday. We will carpool as needed to photo locations.
We look forward to photographing with you and working with you on digital imaging tachniques.
Please contact us with any questions!
Greta,
I wanted to write and thank you for an excellent workshop back in July. I've been using my new found knowledge a lot, and am amazed at how much easier it is to get the color and effects I want on my photo reference.
The workshop really helped the pieces to fall into place. Maybe you should rename the workshop to "Photoshop for Photographers and Artists". I'd highly recommend it for anyone who works with photos for any reason.
